Antonio Loriente Fine Spanish Classical Guitars
The Antonio Loriente line of fine concert and flamenco guitars was
conceived by Tim Miklaucic, president of Tornavoz Music, with the goal of
offering affordable Spanish-made concert-level instruments. Tornavoz
(see tornavozmusic.com) imports some of the finest guitars in the world,
including those by Jose Ramirez, Sakurai Kohno, Ryoji Matsuoka, Manuel
Contreras II, Paco de Lucia, Antonio Aparicio, and the popular Cordoba
instruments. For the Loriente line, Miklaucic brought the great German
guitar maker Edmund Blöchinger on board to design and engineer each
instrument and to supervise the construction. Pepe and Celin Romero
provided direction and expertise on sound, response, action, weight, and
aesthetics. "Antonio Loriente" isn't a real person, just a trademark for
these fine collaboration guitars.
The Loriente line is made in Valencia, Spain, completely by hand using
traditional techniques. No shortcuts. With focus on current high standards
for intonation, volume, and balance. Materials are first class. Each top is
selected from precisely quartered wood. The backs and sides are selected
for beauty and acoustic quality.

They've got plenty of images. As typical, the line is progressive. The
primary differences from other similar lines are the performance per dollar
and good availability. And the emphasis on French polish finishes! I really
like the construction and feel of these. I'll try to get some good deals on
them. I'm not going to put up great numbers of images. They look like
guitars, no surprise! But the rosettes differ. As I review the guitars and
find other reviews I'll post more details.
